About Us
Meet the team building a movement for belonging in Linz.
Meet the Founders
Two passionate people united by one mission: building a place where no one in Linz ever feels alone.

Daniel Kruger
Founder & Head of Operations
"I've spent my life building networks. Now, I'm building a home."
Daniel, 42, originally from South Africa, found his way to Linz four years ago and immediately fell in love with its unique rhythm — a city with industrial roots that's blossomed into a European cultural hub.
A neurodivergent IT specialist since age seven, Daniel mastered servers, code, and virtual connections — but discovered something essential was missing: physical community.
He realized the old "village" model wasn't just charming; it was a healing system modern cities have lost.
- Creating a village inside every city
- Building in radical transparency
- Trading digital architecture for physical spaces
- Inviting community collaboration at every step

Anna Pedolzky
Co-Founder & Head of Hospitality Operations
"I've lived my dream running hostels across continents. Now I'm bringing that magic home to Linz."
Anna, 31, brings eight years of hands-on hostel expertise — summers in Austria, winters running her own backpacker hostels in India. A trained Hotelkauffrau, she excels at optimizing workflows, welcoming feedback, and executing with clear timelines.
Her dream: a nature-surrounded hostel hosting events, outdoor activities, and creative workshops — part of a collective balancing work, holidays, and shared vision.
- Proven track record building hostels from scratch
- Natural talent for operations & guest experience
- Thrives in collaborative decision-making
- Brings international perspective to Linz market
Every project begins with a personal story.
Linz Hostel – The Social Impact Hub was born from one person's experience of arriving in Linz and realizing how difficult it can be to feel connected in a new place.
This is Daniel's story — and the reason this project exists.
It started with a feeling many people know too well.
When Daniel first arrived in Linz, he felt something unexpected:
"In a city full of people, I felt alone."
There was no central entry point, no cultural touchpoint, and no community space where newcomers and locals naturally come together.
Even with opportunities all around, finding true connection felt difficult.
This experience was the spark.
A quiet moment of isolation that planted the seed for a much larger mission.
Instead of accepting this as normal, Daniel began asking deeper questions:
These questions grew into a vision:
A social, cultural, and community-powered hub for everyone who calls Linz home — whether for a week or a lifetime.
Linz is Growing
Its cultural scene is expanding.
Its international community is rising.
But many still struggle with loneliness, isolation, and the challenge of integrating into city life.
Daniel's experience wasn't unique — it was a sign of a larger need.
And so the mission became clear:
Create a place where no one arriving in Linz ever feels alone again.
More Than a Building
Today, Daniel works with partners, cultural organizations, community leaders, and supporters to bring the Social Impact Hub and Linz Hostel to life.
The project is more than a building — it is a movement.
A commitment to belonging, inclusion, cultural exchange, and social impact.
The hostel, opening in 2026, is only one pillar.
The broader vision includes events, workshops, community programs, and collaborations that strengthen the social fabric of Linz.
The Community is the Next Chapter
As the project grows, so does the community behind it.
The Social Impact Hub is built from people — people who believe that connection, culture, and compassion should shape the future of our city.
Daniel's story
was the beginning.
The community
is the next chapter.
Together, we're building something meaningful for Linz.
